Hydrom has officially launched a two-week Ecosystem Readiness Lab in partnership with the Oman Vision 2040 unit and the Ministry of Energy and Minerals. This significant initiative is aimed at advancing Oman’s green hydrogen production targets for 2030.

At the opening session, HE Salim Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, emphasized the urgent need to enhance Oman’s infrastructure to support a robust green hydrogen sector. He stressed the importance of building a resilient and dynamic foundation to harness the country’s natural resources, boost local capabilities, and strengthen international collaborations.

Abdulaziz Al Shidhani, Managing Director of Hydrom, motivated attendees to actively contribute to the lab’s objectives. He highlighted the lab’s goal to evaluate the readiness of Oman’s infrastructure across five critical areas, ultimately developing a comprehensive roadmap to support the nation’s green hydrogen ambitions.

The Ecosystem Readiness Lab aims to assess and prepare Oman’s infrastructure, ensuring the country is well-positioned to meet its green hydrogen production goals and capitalize on emerging opportunities in the sector.
