Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) has issued a tender for selecting an EPC contractor for a 1.2 MW (AC) / 1.62 MWp (DC) ground-mounted, grid-connected solar PV power plant integrated with a 300 kW green hydrogen plant. The project will include the design, fabrication, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and operation & maintenance (O&M) for 10 years. The estimated cost of the project is ₹13.08 crore, with an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) set at ₹13.08 lakhs and a Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) required for securing the contractual obligations.

The project is planned for development within the KPCL Bellary premises. The tender document, issued on December 13, 2024, specifies a submission deadline of January 13, 2025. A pre-tender meeting is scheduled for December 26, 2024, at the KREDL Head Office in Bangalore. The technical bids will be opened on January 16, 2025, followed by the financial bids upon completion of the technical evaluations.

KREDL has mandated a completion timeline of 12 months from the notice to proceed. The project entails advanced technology integration, such as SCADA systems for remote monitoring, and extensive civil and electrical works, including module mounting structures, inverters, and a hydrogen plant setup.

The bid submission process is electronic, and bidders must adhere to the financial and technical criteria outlined in the tender document. This initiative represents a significant step in Karnataka’s commitment to renewable energy and green hydrogen technologies.
