The Ceremonious Hold of Inaugural Meeting of Energy Storage & Battery Technology and Equipment Specialized Committee of Shanghai New Energy Industry Association

  On September 24, 2024, the establishment of the Energy Storage & Battery Technology and Equipment Specialized Committee (hereinafter referred to as "Energy Storage Specialized Committee") of the Shanghai New Energy Industry Association(hereinafter referred to as SNEIA) was grandly held at the Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai. The conference marked an important step for the SNEIA in the field of new energy, especially in energy storage technology and equipment, laying a solid foundation for promoting the high-quality development of the energy storage industry.   At the inaugural meeting, Tang Hong, deputy secretary-general of SNEIA, introduced the preparatory work of the energy storage special committee and the division of labor among member units in detail. Ms. Shen Pei, Director of the Green Industry Department of Shanghai Lingang Group, introduced the drafting and improvement of the Management System of the Energy Storage & Battery Technology and Equipment Specialized Committee of SNEIA to the member units, and then the member units put forward suggestions for modification for the content. After the vote of the participating member units, the meeting reviewed and approved the "Division of Labor Table of Member Units" and the "Management System of the Energy Storage & Battery Technology and Equipment Specialized Committee of SNEIA". Zhu Kai, President of SNEIA, delivered a speech to congratulate the establishment of the Energy Storage Specialized Committee, and put forward clear requirements and ardent expectations for its future work.

  The establishment of Energy Storage Specialized Committee aims to facilitate the innovation and development of energy storage technology and equipment industry,strengthen exchanges and cooperation within the industry, promote the coordination of the upstream and downstream of the industry chain, and enhance the overall competitiveness of Shanghai's energy storage industry. The Energy Storage Specialized Committee will be committed to solving key technical problems in the field of energy storage, promoting the commercial application of energy storage technology, and contributing to the realization of the national energy strategic goals. The committee will actively further the innovation of energy storage technology, intensify the combination of production, education and research, promote international exchanges and cooperation, strengthen talent training and industry standard construction, encourage the transformation and implementation of energy storage technology achievements, boost the demonstration and application and promotion of advanced energy storage products, and provide strong support for the sustainable development of new energy.

  At the opening ceremony of the “SNEC ES+ 9th (2024) International Energy Storage & Battery Technology and Equipment (Shanghai) Conference & Exhibition” , Mr. Zhu Kai, President of SNEIA, and Mr. Guan Weiyong, President of the Shanghai Industrial Economic Association, unveiled the Energy Storage Specialized Committee of SNEIA. Mr. Zhang Bin, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District Management Committee, Mr. Chen Gao, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Shanghai's Minhang District, and Mr. Zhu Gongshan, Chairman of the Global Green Energy Council, witnessed the ceremony together.

  At the welcome dinner of the “SNEC ES+ 9th (2024) International Energy Storage & Battery Technology and Equipment (Shanghai) Conference & Exhibition” , the awarding ceremony of the members of the Energy Storage Specialized Committee was held, which drew a successful end to the conference. The participants expressed that they would actively get involved in the work and jointly promote the prosperous development of Shanghai's energy storage industry.

  The establishment of the Energy Storage Specialized Committee indicates that a new innovation momentum, industrial pattern and ecology of the energy storage industry will be formed in Shanghai.
